✦ about wanderingibon —

Howdy! Call me Han, Sunny or any other variant. I'm Southeast Asian (Filipino) diaspora, a trans man (he/him), and a disabled artist in his twenties with an interest in character illustrations. I've been drawing since I was old enough to pick up a pencil, and art is what keeps me going.I adore anything to do with artmaking, birds, tattoos (both getting them and designing them— sometimes safely practicing on myself), as well as all things OC and worldbuilding related. My characters and stories are deeply personal to myself and my experiences. Currently, I have two main OC settings, ROOT//SEEKER and Skyward Aria, which contain characters that have been with me since I was young. (I love love love yapping about my OCs, be warned!)I like to post the art I make online on social media! :~D Please keep in mind while my art accounts are all SFW, please be 18+ to follow me.Thanks for visiting!
✦ frequently asked questions —
✦ Q: Art program / drawing program?
→ I use Clip Studio Paint, and my trusty, old Wacom Intuos BT to draw. On the rare occasion that I do animate I also do that on CSP with a go-to 12 frames-per-second. Sometimes, I use Ibis Paint on the iPad on the go for sketching.
✦ Q: Do you do commissions?
→ Yes, I do! You may find them at VGen! It'll also have information on if there are available slots ^^
✦ Q: Favorite brushes?
→ My most used brushes are Clip Studio Paint's default Real G-Pen, the Lasso fill tool, and other custom brushes I've tweaked myself. I use this brushset for pretty much all of my illustrations too, though I'm always experimenting with new brushes too!
✦ Q: What are your current interests (media, etc.)?
Destiny 2, Witch Hat Atelier, the Dragon Age series, Chiikawa, Stardew Valley, Fields of Mistria! Been really into Warframe's lore as well! Will add more once they come to mind <3
When I was much younger video games such as Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon and Little Big Planet had a significant impact on me! Also games like Club Penguin, Assassin's Creed modern day, as well as WATCH_DOGS2.
✦ Q: Can I reupload or repost your artwork?
→ Please do not reupload my art without my express permission!
✦ Q: Can I use your fanart as a header/icon?
→ Yes, you may use fanart only as a header/icon just as long as it's for personal use only, and you credit me somewhere easily visible on your profile. I will ask that you refrain from using art of my OCs or art of other's OCs for headers or icons. If it's your OC (through Art Fight or a commission) you may use this art with credit. ^^
✦ Q: AI/NFT?
→ I am strictly anti-generative AI and anti-NFT/blockchain. I believe these are extremely harmful no matter how you look at it. Environmentally, socially, etc. You may not use any of my art, writing, or other creative works for generative AI training or crypto purposes. If I find you try to follow me and are a user of gen-AI and/or are otherwise bigoted, I will block swiftly and freely.
✦ Q: Can I use your OC's designs and/or lore for my own DND/TTRPGs/stories?
→ Please do not repurpose or use my OCs! You may be inspired by an OC's design or story to a certain extent, but please do not outright copy or steal these characters or stories beat for beat. This is a personal boundary of mine, as my OCs (and sonas) mean a lot to me :'D Thank you so much for understanding!

Links — Art Tag ▣ Lore Document ▣ Playlist I. (Instrumental) ▣ Playlist II. (Lyrical)
Genre: Sci-fi/Supernatural, Cyberpunk-adjacent, with elements of liminality
Summary: Root Seeker (stylized as ROOT//SEEKER) takes place in a distant future in an alternate world by the name of Eidolon. With super-powered humans, a shadowy mega-corporation, and a mysterious, reality-bending force at the root of it, the story converges on two siblings, as lost as can be. They navigate their world falling apart at the very seams— both figuratively, and literally— as they soon discover. Known previously by its working title, 'The Root, The Specter.' Explores psychological aspects made physical by the reality-bending force that permeates the characters' world as they struggle for hope and the future itself.

Genre: Magical/Elemental Fantasy, Adventure
Summary: There once existed a bygone Kingdom of powerful beings made of pure, elemental magic- Arias. Where magic once flowed through them like mighty rivers, greed and temptation for power led them to their apparent downfall and supposed extinction. The exact circumstances of the events of the Skyward Kingdom's downfall are left to mystery and tales of yore. These days, one may only find magic harnessed through rare, powerful artifacts referred to as Conduits. Sangsinukob is the last Aria left in the world, a fact she's long since tried to deny herself. This story focuses heavily on finding one's self, and carving out your own path.
Grand Theater of the Beyond
Links — Iya's Playlist
Genre: Supernatural, Fantasy, Psychological themes
Summary: Not exactly a full blown story yet, but a moreso a setting I use to explore a persona character of mine, Iya, a masked artist living in a perpetual theater in the afterlife. Iya is the longtime stagehand and masked resident of the Grand Theater with a peculiar magic that lends itself well to aiding shows. The Grand Theater of the Beyond invites any and all departed souls, those lost and in need of direction to wherever they wish to go next. Performances, grandeur, and shows a-plenty, there is sure to be something for everyone to resonate with at the Theater. Deals with themes of never-ending grief, repeating spirals of trauma and OCD, and the ups-and-downs of healing.
Tales from the Tidepools
(Only in our dreams)
Genre: Slice of Life, Supernatural, Psychological Horror, Transgender coming-of-age
Summary: Delves into the experience of dealing with the visceral after-effects of trauma through a psychological horror and supernatural lens, including how it robs you of your sense of self and vision of a future. Lucky has inherited their childhood home per the last will and testament of their grandmother. They're fresh at rock bottom, having just dropped out of college after a period of volatile mental health landed them institutionalized. What should seem like a stroke of good fortune at first glance isn't quite so for Lucky, as the home is a place of both nostalgia and ache. Betwixt reminiscence and pain, Lucky stumbles upon something darker swirling beneath the tide pools, and two hermit crab deities far, far from home.
